Coat of Arms

Shield Gules divided by pall wavy Argent, in base a quatrefoil Argent.
Meaning:
The arms show the Eder and the Fulda rivers, the Eder flowing into the Fulda, which is a canting element ("Edermünde" means "mouth of Eder"). The flower in base is representing the four merged municipalities Besse, Grifte, Haldorf and Holzhausen.
