Hafenlohr Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a fess wavy Argent, above a pot Or with a handle at sinister.
Meaning:
The pot is canting, but I don't know why. Perhaps the handle is called an ear by the locals. The name of the municipality is derived from a little river, which flows into the Main River near Hafenlohr. The name is also referring to the local port, which had been an important business line in the 15th century. The tinctures red and golden are those of the Counts of Rieneck, who lived in the village since the middle of the 12th century. After the Counts of Rieneck-Rothenfels had died out in 1333, the village became a fiefdom of the Bishopric of Würzburg, represented by the tinctures red and silver.
