Kitzingen Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, a throughout embattled bridge Argent based on three pillars.
Meaning:
Kitzingen was first mentioned as a city around 1300. The local bridge, which crossed the Main River, was already displayed on the oldest city seals, known by prints since 1349. The pattern remained basically the same. Sometimes the bridge is depicted in an impending version. The tinctures were fixed in 1839, were however in use since the 16th century, sometimes counterchanged.

The arms are in use since the 14th century, the banner at least before 1965. But it had never been approved officially.
