Ditzingen Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per pale into red and silver (= white). The dexter half shows two red wolf traps, crossed per saltire. The sinister half shows a silver (= white) plough share topped by a cross patty of the same colour.
The arms were designed and approved in 1926. The wolf traps were used as an old village symbol and are known as such since 1682. The cross in the upper sinister corner is representing the monasteries of Hirsau and Reichenbach, which had real properties in the municipality. The plough share is representing agriculture.

Banner and coat of arms were approved on 23 April 1976 by the county administration, published in GABl 310/1977.
