Bayrischzell Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a mountain's throughout silhouette Argent, charged with a chamois' head Sable, base Azure three lozenges Argent in fess.
Meaning:
The silhouette is symbolising the Wendelstein, a mountain. The chamois is a very common animal in the region. The base displays a differentiated version of the lozengy shield of Bayern and is alluding to the municipality's name, which means "Bavarian cell". It is also stressing the close connections with the Wittelsbach kin. Haziga, the consort of Palatine Count Otto of Scheyern-Wittelsbach established an abbey before 1077, being the predecessor of the Benedictine Scheyern Abbey.
