Taura Coat of Arms

Shield Or, on mount issuant Vert an aurochs statant guardant Sable, in chief 14 linden leaves Vert ordered 5:4:5.
Taura was first mentioned in 1378 as Thurowe. The name is supposed to be derived from the Slavic word "tur", meaning aurochs. The aurochs is thus canting.
