Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Or a demi-lion issuant Azure, armed and tongued Gules and surrounded by five billets Azure, beneath Azure divided by a saltire Or, each quarter charged with three crosslets Or.
Meaning:
The lion is representing the Counts of Solms, the former rulers. The saltire, with modified tinctures is representing the Lords of Merenburg. Each crosslet is representing one of the 12 villages belonging to the municipality: Damm, Etzelmühle, Nanz, Willershausen, Reimershausen, Rodenhausen, Altenvers, Kirchvers, Rollshausen, Seelbach and Weipoltshausen. The arms were granted on occasion of the local 1200-years festival
