Sollstedt Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Azure and eradicated linden Or with an inescutcheon chequered of Gules and Argent fixed on the stem, at sinister Or a bear rampant Sable armed Or and collared Gules.
Meaning:
The linden is taken from the oldest local seal. The inescutcheon displays the arms of the Counts of Hohnstein and was added later. The bear is referring to a nickname of the inhabitants, as they were called bear catchers by their neighbours.

The arms were approved 3 December 1937 by district governor (Oberpräsident) of the Prussian Saxony Province.
