Roßbach Coat of Arms

Shield parted per chevron embowed reversed of Gules and Argent, issuant from base a triplemount Gules, chief Argent parted by a bend Sable charged with three balls Or.
Meaning:
The bend with balls is reminding on the Lords of Pienzenau, who ruled the local district (Bavarian: Hofmark) between 1456 and 1627. The other charges display the arms of Cistercian Aldersbach Abbey, which owned the Schmiedorf district (Bavarian: Hofmark) during the 17th and 18th century. This part is also alluding to the former Schmiedorf Municipality, which was incorporated in 1971.
