Bayerisch Eisenstein Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, issuant from base a fir Vert; mantled Sable, at dexter charged with an attire Or in pale, at sinister with a vitreous chalice of the same.
Meaning:
The fir is symbolising the location in the Bavarian Forest and the economic importance of the wood. The attire is taken from the arms of the Barons of Hafenbrädl, who owned the Eisenstein district (Bavarian: Hofmark) from 1771 until the 19th century. The district had been divided between Bayern and Bohemia since 1764. The chalice is alluding to the economic importance of glass kilns since the 18th century. Hans Georg Hafenbrädl as foreman of the kilns caused an economic boost of the kilns of Grafenhütte, Arberhütte and Regenhütte. The tinctures silver and black are taken from the arms of the Princes of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, who acquired the possessions of the barons in 1872. The old name of the municipality had been simply Eisenstein. It was renamed in 1951.
