Shield Azure, on base Vert an ox statant Argent armed Or surrounded by a fence Or.
Meaning:
A similar painting had been made already in 1562 by Philipp Apian, however with a sinister facing ox. A seal print from 1640 displays the same pattern with a higher fence. The current pattern prevailed since the 19th century. Due to a legend an ox had been the only surviving domestic animal during a flood, because he was unable to jump over the fence of the local monastery garden.
