Dahme Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, an embattled wall Gules masoned Sable with three embattled towers of the same and open portcullis Argent, on top of the central bigger tower is a woman in robe Azure, holding a palm frond Vert in her right hand, a ladder sable in bend is leading to the central tower.
Meaning:
The city belonged historically to the Archbishopric of Magdeburg. The coat of arms —which is very similar to the arms of Magdeburg— is a reminder of that. The arms are based upon a city seal from the 17th century. The earliest traditional arms of the city, denoted as "CIVITATIS DAMEN" from 1399, and later versions from the 15th and 16th century displayed a castle with three towers and a ladder to the central tower, then topped by a cupola, which was replaced by the woman afterwards.

Dahmetal Coat of Arms

Shield Vert, a threefold bend sinister wavy Argent, flanked by five watermill's wheels Or in bend, three above and two beneath the bend, issuant from base a valley Or.
Meaning:
The base is representing the hills of Niederer Fläming. The bend sinister wavy is symbolising Dahme River, alongside the banks there had been seven watermills in the past. Their number in the arms might be related to the settlement cores of Dahmetal. The valley (German: Tal) together with the bend sinister wavy is canting.
