Kastl Coat of Arms

Shield Gules an inescutcheon Argent charged with a fess Azure and flanked by two dragon wings Argent, chief Argent two wheel crosses Gules connected by a horizontal beam of the same.
Meaning:
The chief is referring to a pair of tombstones from the late High Medieval, one on the graveyard of Kastl and the other in Wolframhof Castle. Both display the rare pattern displayed in chief. The inescutcheon displays the arms of the Landgraves of Leuchtenberg, who ruled the area around Kastl and Unterbruck, incorporated into Kastl in 1972, during the High Medieval. The wings are attributes of St. Margaret, the local patron saint.
