Schnaitsee Coat of Arms

Barry of six of Gules and Vair ancient.
Meaning:
Schnaitsee was first mentioned in the 10th century and since the early 12th century ancestral seat of the Lords of Schnaitsee, who had been in service of the Counts of Krayburg and later of the Archbishops of Salzburg. The arms are based on seals of Reeve Cuno I (around 1126) and Cuno IV (around 1216). The tinctures red and white were chosen in order to represent the archbishops. The arms were adopted on occasion of the 1000-years anniversary in 1956.
