Vachendorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Vert a horse forcene issuant Argent, beneath Argent two lances Gules in Saltire under a Roman legionnaire's shield of the same with fittings Sable.
The white horse is referring to the local church on a mountain. It is one of the so called white horse churches. I don't know details, but all those churches refer to legends about a mysterious white horse. The legionnaire's equipment is referring to the peopling of the area even in Roman times. It is also referring to important excavations of Roman weapons in Geiselbrechting.
