Königsdorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Azure a leafy coronet Or, beneath Argent a bend sinister parted per fess of Gules and Sable.
Meaning:
The coronet (which is by the way painted dissimatrically in source) is taken from the arms of the Benediktbeuern Abbey. The abbey displayed arms with three crowns since the 17th century. The crown is also a punning element. The lower half displays the family arms of the Höhenkirchen kin. The Königsdorf district was ruled by that kin between the 14th and 17th century. In 1642 the district was acquired by the abbey, which had the local cognisance and was the manorial lord, until the abbey was secularised in 1803. The tinctures blue and white are those of Bayern.
