Heroldstatt Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, a bend engrailed Argent, flanked by two pairs of 6-point stars Or ordered per bend.
Meaning:
The bend engrailed is taken from the arms of the Lords of Steußlingen, the stars from the arms of Zwiefalten Abbey. The namesake hamlet was bestowed on the abbey around 110 by Otto of Steußlingen. Since the 12th century the local church had been a centre of the estates of Zwiefalten in Ennabeuren and Sontheim, two villages that merged forming Heroldstatt municipality on 1 January 1973.
