Shield parted per pale, at dexter Azure a Frisian warrior Argent with spear and shield of the same; at sinister parted per fess, above Azure three seagulls volant Argent in pale, beneath Azure a trefoil Argent.
Meaning:
The warrior is rminding on the battle at Hartwarden Entrenchment, which took place in 1514, an alliance of the Welfish Dukes of Braunschwieg, Calenberg and Lüneburg with the Counts of Oldenburg, defeated the Frisian chieftains and extincetd the "farmer republics" in the area.
