Albbruck Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, issuant from base wavy Azure a throughout bridge Gules masoned Sable with one arch, issuant from bridge two firs Vert.
Meaning:
The arms are based on a local viceregent's (German: Stabhalter, i.e. lit.: staff holder) seal from the 19th century. It displayed a mountainous landscape with bridge and river. This pattern was simplified. The base wavy is representing the local Alb River. Base and bridge together are canting elements, (bridge over Alb) The firs are referring to the Counts of Hauenstein, local rulers of all municipal villages in the past, who used a fir in their seals.

The arms were approved on 2 November 1956 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, adopted by the municipality on 1 January 1975, after Birkingen, Buch and Unteralpfen had merged with Albbruck. They were confirmed on 13 May 1977 by the county administration.
