Presentation of Espeluy

The municipality of Espeluy (596 inhabitants; 2,563 ha) is located in the province of Jaén.

Symbols of Espeluy

The Municipality of Espeluy has its own symbols, but date of adoption is unknown.

• Coat of arms:

Description: Azure, a castle Or, masoned and windows Sable, issuing from the sinister upon rocks proper, between which runs a stream in their color, the castle flanked by a key Or, placed vertically, with the eye looking towards the chief. Crest: an open royal crown.

• Flag:

Three horizontal stripes of red, white, and red, where the white is wider stripe. In the middle of the white stripe is positioned the municipal coat of arms.
NOTE: The flag is not presented in Simbolos de Jaén website, but in Wikipedia two users - Franespeluy in 2013, and Alexphangia in 2022 -claim that there is unofficial flag for this municipality with same design.
