Symbols of Bollullos de la Mitación

Municipality of Bollullos de la Mitación in the Province of Sevilla, Andalucia, has its own symbols, approved by the General Secretariat of Local Administration on 21.11.2023.

Coat of arms:
Description: "Partied. First, argent, a parasol pine vert, trunk proper and mount vert. Second, vert, the Torre de Cuatrovitas argent, masoned and pierced sable and mount proper. Crest: a closed royal crown."
Meaning: The parasol pine, or Pinus maritimus, is a very common tree species in the municipality and characteristic of its landscape. The Torre de Cuatrovitas is one of Bollullos' most iconic monuments, the minaret of the former Almohad mosque, now a hermitage, built of brick and decorated with horseshoe and polylobed arches. The terrace, which is green in the first quarter and natural (ochre) in the second, represents the land of the municipality, which is covered in vegetation for part of the year and dry and bare for another.

Description: "A rectangular cloth whose length is one and a half times its height, divided vertically into two parts. The part closest to the hoist is green and has a width equivalent to one-third of the total length of the cloth. The other part is white. It will bear the municipal coat of arms, with a height equivalent to half the total height of the cloth, and with its geometric center located on the dividing line."
