Presentation of Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré

The municipality of Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré (2,272 inhabitants in 2019; 1,218 ha) is located on the southern coast of Ré island. It is composed of three hamlets (Bois-Plage, Rouland and Morinand) which merged as a consequance of the demographic growth in the 20th century.

The flag of Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré (photo, photo) is white with the municipal logo, composed of the name of the municipality on a red wavy line and a small representation of the coat of arms, "Argent four fesses wavy azure in base a sun or issuant from the first cantoned in chief by a pine cone pendant gules and a bunch of grapes of the same".
