The municipality of Tillé (1,057 inhabitants in 2007; 1,480 ha) is located 4 km norh of Beauvais. The Beauvais-Tillé airport was recently boosted by the emergence of low-cost airlines.
There has been there a Neolithic site, later a Roman settlement. The village was ransacked by the Duke of Burgundy in 1472, and almost completely destroyed by a fire in 1825.
