Artois Comm.

The Communauté d'agglomération Artois Comm. was formled on 1 January 2002 59 municipalities surrounding the towns of Béthune and Bruay-la-Buissière. On 1 January 2014, Artois Comm. absorbed the Communauté de communes de Nœux et environs, increasing its membership to 65 municipalities.
Artois Comm. was suppressed on 1 January 2017 after having benn merged with the Communautés de communes Artois-Lys and Artois-Flandres to form the Communauté d'agglomération de Béthune-Bruay, Artois-Lys Romane (100 municipalities; 281-951 inh., 43,424 ha)

The flag of Artois Comm. was white with the logo in the middle. The logo was officially explained as follows:
- The yellow disk is the sunny symbol of life.
- The green square stands for the rural parts of the community.
- The blue triangle is the "A" of Artois and symbolizes the community.
- The little red square is for the required, strong energy/dynamism of the community.
- The yellow ellipse emphasizes the fact that the members work together.

The Communauté d'agglomération Cap Calaisis was formed on 1 January 2001 by the municipalities of Calais (76,402 inh.), Coquelles (2,452 inh.), Coulogne (5,414 inh.), Marck (10,676 inh.), and Sangatte (4,768 inh.). Renamed in 2008 Cap Calaisis Terre d'Opale, the authority was joined in 2017 by another four municipalities, Fréthun (1,293 inh.), Hames-Boucres (1,464 inh.), Les Attaques (1,942 inh.), and Nielles-lès-Calais (277 inh.), and renamed as Grand Calais Terres et Mers.

The flag of Cap Calaisis Terre d'Opale (photo) was white with the authority's logo.
