Henri Joubert was a shipowner from Hennebont, near Lorient.
On 28 December 1924, the newspaper L'Ouest-Éclair reports the wreckage of the Saint-Caradec during the big thunderstorm of 26-27 December; Joubert, owner of the ship, is presented as the Vice Consul of England in Lorient.

The Yearbook of the Central Committee of France Shipowners (1922) shows the house flag of Henri Joubert Père (Sr.) as blue with the white letters "HJ".
