The Alexandra Yacht Club, Southend-on-Sea, uses a blue burgee with the Essex three white seaxes on a red shield. I did not find their homepage, but I did find the burgee also at

"[On 15th. January 1873] The club was to be named after the Princess of Wales, later Queen Alexandra, and to be known as 'The Alexandra Club'. . . [in] 1878 [a] proposal was carried unanimously and the Alexandra Yacht Club [was] born. . . . Six designs for a burgee were drawn up but the one chosen was red with the Essex Arms . . ." [In 1883] the burgee was changed to blue with Essex Arms".

The (German) Flaggenbuch 1905 states that the red ensign is used without badge (i.e. undefaced) by different yacht clubs based on a warrant and lists this yacht club as using the red ensign.
