The East Belfast Yacht Club (N. Ireland, UK) maintains a modest website:
http://eastbelfastyachtclub.yolasite.com. We learn right away that in 1904
Belfast shipyard workers founded the club which is now situated near the local
airport, its activities not limited to sailing but also including refurbishing
and actually building boats. “We have become established as the main non
professional producer and knowledge base for boats built from Ferro-cement in
Ireland, and have had visitors from many countries in Europe who wished to avail
of our knowledge on the subject.”
Shown as a drawing at the end of above
page, the club burgee is dark blue with a white shield near the hoist bearing a
red seahorse facing the fly.
