On a 1968 brochure shown on the Maritime Timetable Images website, the house flag of Hellenic International Lines is shown as blue with a large white diamond the left and right points of which touch the flag's edges and bearing the blue initials "HIL" (without serifs); thin white horizontal stripes are situated near the blue field's edges.

Josef Nuesse's flag collection (no longer available online) shows a very similar house flag for Hellenic Lines. The white stripes are broader and reach the edges of the flag, while "HIL" is replaced by "E".
