Presentation of HNS

HNS was founded on 13 October 1990 in Zagreb. The party was formed by center and left oriented members who seceeded from Tudjman's HDZ mainly disagreeing with Tudman's politics towards Bosnia and Herzegovina. President of the Republic (2000-2010) Stipe Mesić was one of the founders of the party, which he left when elected president).
In 2005, the party merged with LIBRA (The Party of Liberal Democrats), therefore its current, longer name.
