Flag of Nedelišće

The symbols of Nedelišće are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Nedelišće, adopted on 25 September 2002 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 3 October 2002 in the County official gazette Službeni glasnik Međimurske županije, No. 6.
The adoption process was related in the local newspaper Međimurske novine (Nedelišcansko vijece održalo prvu jesensku sjednicu, 2 October 2002; Općinski grb - tiskarska preša zlatne boje i crvena knjiga, 13 March 2002).

The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company from Rijeka.

The flag is prescribed in Article 10 of the Decision:

The flag of the municipality is of a single colour, green, with a ratio of its length to width 2:1, in accordance with the legal prescriptions. In the middle of the flag, at the crossing point of its diagonals, is the coat of arms of the municipality, printed on both sides of the flag, bordered golden-yellow.
The depiction of the flag is an integral part of this Decision.

The coat of arms is prescribed in Article 7 of the Decision:

The coat of arms is made of a rectangular shield, in a green field, a golden printing press, a book with red cover and silver sheets between the press panels.
A copy of a separate document depicting the coat of arms is preserved in the State Archives.
The depiction of the coat of arms is an integral part of this Decision.

The printing press recalls that one of the oldest printing houses in Croatia was located in Nedelišće.

The previous coat of arms, "Vert on a fess argent a printing press sable and in base a mullet of ten of the second", already included the printing press and served as a model for the current one.
The ten rays of the mullet were to represent the 10 villages that constitute the municipality. To the best of my knowledge, there was no flag to complement this previous coat of arms.
