Presentation of Semeljci

The Municipality of Semeljci is located som 20 km south-west of Osijek, some 15 km north-east of Đakovo. The municipality counts 4,858 inhabitants according to the 2001 census, 1,558 of them living in the village of Semeljci proper. Almost all of them are Croats.
Semeljci is the seat of the Osatina agricultural combine, one of the largest in Croatia, with important export success to EU. Among other usual products such as cattle food, grain, granary and similar, the company is one of the few in Europe producing sorghum brooms.

The proposal for the coat of arms and flag of the municipality from 2007 was presented earlier, which contained a wooden scoop for flour instead of a linden branch.
