The municipality of Velika Ludina (2,636 inhabitants in 2011, 760 in the village of Velika Ludina) is located about 40 km north-east of Sisak. It has some 2,800 inhabitants, 700 of them in town of Velika Ludina.

The symbols of Velika Ludina were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka, and approved by the Ministry of Administration / Central State Office for Administration before 2006.

The flag is blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms of Velika Ludina is "Argent a sword of the same erect hilted or inflamed gules". The inflamed sword is the attribute of Archangel St. Michael, to whom the parish church of Velika Ludina is consacrated.
