Presentation of Hrvace

The municipality of Hrvace (4,116 inhabitants in 2001) is located about 50 km north of Split, between the towns of Sinj and Knin, in the Cetina valley. The municipality consists of 11 villages. The largest (1,637 inh.), after which the municipality is named, has a long history, mentioned already in the 15th century in King Matthias Corvinus' documents; its name is, obviously, a variant of the Croat national name. In the territory of the municipality is the Peruca dam with the largest hydroelectric plant in Croatia and a man-made lake behind it.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.
