Located in Mibu Town Tochigi Prefecture and established in 1973. The embroidered ceremonial flag has purple background with a gold emblem and horizontally written gold kanji university name with gold fringe. The university flag has navy blue background with a white emblem and white kanji university name written horizontally. (source) The university emblem is similar to that of Dokkyo Medical University. The university emblem is a refreshingly sharper and crisper version of the German decorated initial "D" that has been used since the days of the German Studies School (founded in 1883), the predecessor of the university.
