Located in Sapporo City Hokkaido Prefecture and established in 1918. The university flag has purplish blue background with white kanji letters "大學" in the center and a white pentagram at the canton with white border.

Cheerleading club; The club flag has dark green background with a white symbol mark and horizontally written kanji university name in white. The symbol mark is a design of "Enreiso," which grows wild on the university campus, and the word "Daigaku" (大學). The design was selected from a public contest in 1950, and was modified on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the founding of the university, and was officially adopted as the symbol mark at the council meeting held in September 1996. The six directions (east, west, south, north, heaven, and earth) of the symbol, composed of petals and sepals, signify the transmission of information from the university to Japan and the world..
