Located in Setagaya City Tokyo and established in 1949. The embroidered ceremonial flag has purple background with a gold emblem and vertically written gold kanji university name in gold fringe. The university flag has blue background with a white emblem. In 1949, Nippon Sport Science University took a new step forward as a newly established university. At that time, the school adopted the emblem of "體" and "育" on the left and right sides of "大學". In 1952, the design was changed to "體大", which is now woven into the university flag and the flags of the various clubs of the alumni association.
