Seinan Gakuin University is a private Christian university affiliated with the Japan Baptist Convention and formerly linked to the Southern Baptist Convention (us). The university flag appears to be a small square emblem in green and white; an image of the flag and an explanation of its symbolism can be seen at Seinan Gakuin personal webpage of David Johnson

Quoting from the cited webpage:

The green of the above school flag represents the green pine trees that are found throughout the campus. The letters SW stand for SOUTHWEST, which is what SEINAN means in Japanese.

And "Gakuin" means "school." See photo at [1200 x 600 px] - where the green seems much darker than the square graphic, though it could just be a matter of lighting.

Located in Fukuoka City Fukuoka Prefecture and established in 1949. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark green background with a silver emblem and vertically written in silver kanji university name in gold fringe. The university flag has dark green background with a white emblem in the center. The design of the university emblem is a combination of the first two letters of Seinan="South-West" (S and W). It was designed by C.K. Dozier, the founder of the school, in the early days of the school.

Is that monogram supposed to read "WS"?
António Martins-Tuválkin, 30 October 2023

Yes, WS means West-South (=Seinan in Japanese university name).
