Located in Shinjuku City Tokyo and established in 1950. The embroidered ceremonial flag has purplish blue background with a gold and silver emblem and horizontally written silver kanji university name in gold fringe. The university flag has light purple background with a beige and grey emblem. (Source) The school emblem was established in 1902. It consists of the word "大學" in a mirror of Yata and three comma shaped family emblem of Yayoi Yoshioka, an educator and woman doctor who founded Tokyo Women's Medical School, the predecessor of the university, in 1900.
