Overview

Babtai (Kaunas District) - on a blue field above a Pope's tiara over crossed silver and golden keys, below a brown boat with silver sail. Flag proportions 13:14, free edges bordered with a narrow silver strip, fringe is silver, the finial is golden tip with openwork cross and silver bands, staff is white. The upper part (religious composition) of the arms granted in 1792 attributes the local church of St. Peter and St. Paul. The lower part (sailboat) symbolizes the importance of the Nemunas River for trade of the town.
