Flag: orange, with in the center a black capital "Z", and a canton of five equally long white and red stripes.
This flag was readopted 6 Apr 1962 by municipal resolution. Of old it was very popular here, because the inhabitants were known to be very loyal to the House of Orange. It was used as shipping flag, and is officially documented since over a century. New is the addition of the colors of the municipal arms in the canton. It was first used in this (20th) century on 30 Apr 1962, the birthday of Queen Juliana, and the celebration of 25 years of marriage of the Queen and Prince Bernhard.
