About the Flag

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field and black inscription "FREGUESIA DE TRAMAGAL" at bottom edge.

Coat of arms

Shield Or a steel mill Purpure, in chief Azure another steel mill Argent, the material(?) in both cases Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "VILA DE TRAMAGAL".
To be honest, my description (not being within source) is just a guess, because the town had been an important base of metallurgy (iron mongery, steel production and steel refinement) introduced by Eduardo Duarte Ferreira. And the town has still a factory producing lorrys for a big Japanese car producer.
