Coat of arms

Shield Gules, issuant from base a mount Argent, in chief an eradicated oak Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "CARVALHAS".
The oak (Port.: carvalho) is a canting element.
