Shield Gules, five hazel twigs Argent in quincunx fruited Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "AVELEDA - BRAGA".
Meaning:
The word "aveleda" doesn't have a lexicographically acknowledged meaning in Portuguese but is is clearly related to "avelã", (= hazelnut). The arms are therefore canting.

Shield Or, a cavaquinho Gules garnished Sable, at dexter chief a hoe iron Azure, at sinister chief a hammer and a backsaw both Vert in saltire, on base wavy Azure a barrulet wavy Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "VIMIEIRO - BRAGA".
Meaning:
The cavaquinho refers to the local origin of this special miniature guitar, brought from Minho to Brazil and Madeira and, from there, to Hawai'i, there afterwards called ukulele, ( for more details see also English WIKIPEDIA).
