Shield Argent a bend sinister Sable cobbled Or flanked in dexter chief by a millstone Azure and in sinister base by an olive branch Vert fruited Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll short toponym style in black upper case serifed letters "FAIÕES".

Faiões was one of the 30 communes of Chaves Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 831 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 8,09 km².
