Shield Azure, a pair of keys crossed per saltire, the bendy one Argent and the sinister bendy one Or, in chief a 5-point star Argent, in base a plate charged with 10 discs Sable gloaming Gules ordered 2:3:3:2. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "ERADA".
The pair of keys is an attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The 10 gloaming discs are symbolizing the local charcoal production. The star is representing the Serra da Estrela, literally translated as "the star mountains".
