Coat of arms

Shield Argent, an eradicated olive tree Vert fruited sable, in chief a Marian crown Azure gemmed Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "MONTES DA SENHORA".
The commune's name means "Mountains of the Lady", which is probably St. Mary. Thus the crown is alluding to the commune's name giver.
