Shield Gules, a flamingo vigilant Argent, flanked by two amphoras Or, on base wavy Argent a barrulet wavy Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll (Bénard Guedes style )reading in black upper case letters "SADO".

Presentation of Sado

Sado Commune is one of the five communes of Setúbal Municipality; it had 5783 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 65.5 km². This commune takes its name from the eponymous river Sado River, on the right bank of whose estuary it lies on.
