Coat of arms

Shield Azure, three corn cobs Or leaved Argent ordered per fess, in chief a Marian crown Or, mural base Argent, masoned Sable and embattled. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VERMOIM - VILA NOVA DE FAMALICÃO".
Meaning:
Though looking like a Holy Spirit's crown the crown is denoted as Marian crown. St. Mary is local patron saint as Our Lady of the Rosary.
