Description of the flag

The PLD (Partidul Liberal Democrat = Liberal Democratic Party) is a recently (December 2006) founded breakaway from the Partidul Naţional Liberal. Its leader is former prime minister Theodor Stolojan. The statute does mention the symbols, although (at the moment) without describing the actual party symbol []:
"Semnul permanent al Partidului Liberal Democrat este ......................... (culori inclusiv). Reprezentarea sub formă grafică, alb/negru şi color, a semnului permanent este prezentată Ón Anexa 1, parte integrantă a prezentului statut. Semnul permanent al partidului este inscripţionat pe drapelul partidului şi pe documentele oficiale ale Partidului Liberal Democrat."

My translation: The permanent symbol of the Liberal Democratic Party is ... (colours included). A representation in graphical form, black/white and coloured, of the permanent symbol is shown in appendix 1, integral part of the present statute. The permanent symbol of the party is shown on the party flag and on official documents of the Liberal Democratic Party.

The forerunner organization of the PLD was the Platforma Liberala (Liberal Platform). This organization showed a yellow flag with two thin blue stripes at the  bottom .
