Tjurko is a small island of the Blekinge Archipelago, in the Commune of Karlskrona, Blekinge County. The Tjurko Interest Association in 2010 created a flag for the Island.

"After a couple of years of work, we finally have our own flag, the decision was made at the annual meeting in 2010. The flag was hoisted for the first time at the Interest Association's premises on New Year's Eve 2010. Color, shape and symbols has been developed in collaboration with Lars Hammarlin and Fredrik Andersson, who have put in a lot of work over the past year. The colors: Green for Tjurkö, the blue shades symbolize the sea and the sky. The symbols: The sledgehammer stands for crafts and the candle for fishing. The shape: Symbol of the marine heritage."
